Allied healthcare professionals are well-placed to offer compassionate support and help normalise mental health discussions within their practice. This course aims to equip participants with the skills to identify postpartum mental health risk factors and recognise potential signs and symptoms, enabling them to make prompt referrals for treatment and support.
The course broadens the scope to include fathers, non-birthing partners, adoptive parents, surrogates, and other caregivers, acknowledging that each may experience unique mental health concerns during the postpartum period.
