Health Sciences University and UK Management College announce new academic partnership
Health Sciences University (HSU) and UK Management College (UKMC) and have announced a new academic partnership that will expand access to high-quality higher education and create new opportunities for students across the north of England.
The collaboration represents a significant milestone for both institutions and reflects a shared commitment to widening participation, academic excellence, student success, and positive community impact.
As part of the partnership, UKMC will deliver an HSU-validated BSc (Hons) Psychology with Foundation Year across its campuses in Manchester, Derby and Sunderland, with enrolment commencing in July 2026. Students will be taught and supported by UKMC and, upon successful completion of their studies, will graduate with a degree awarded by Health Sciences University.
The partnership combines UKMC’s experience in delivering accessible higher education to diverse student communities with HSU’s established reputation for academic excellence and student-centred learning. Together, the two institutions share a vision of creating educational pathways that enable students to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to succeed in their chosen careers.

The partnership has been developed through extensive planning and reflects both institutions’ commitment to maintaining rigorous academic standards while expanding access to higher education and supporting strong student outcomes.
While the initial focus will be the delivery of the BSc (Hons) Psychology with Foundation Year, both institutions will continue to explore further opportunities for collaboration, subject to the appropriate approval processes.
The new partnership underlines a shared ambition to transform lives through education, strengthen graduate outcomes, and contribute positively to the communities and employers served by both organisations.
