Clearing is your final opportunity to secure a place at university for September 2026 and to find the right course for you.
If you are worried about your exam results, considering a change of direction or have yet to apply, we can guide you through your options at HSU.
Clearing 2026 opens 2 July and closes 19 October (or when course capacities are met).
If you are waiting for exam results we won’t be able to officially apply until you have these, but you can take the stress out of results day by starting a conversation with us now.
If you don’t need to wait for exam results you can make your application as soon as Clearing opens.
The first step is to contact us to discuss your options. You can only apply to one course at a time during Clearing so it’s important to make sure you make the right choice for you.
We’ll ask for some information when you contact us, so it is helpful to have your UCAS ID (if you already have one) and details of your qualifications ready to share.
We also recommend researching the course you are interested in so that you can ask any questions you may have when you speak to us.
You will have an opportunity to chat to a member of the course team who will advise you on whether we can make you an offer and next steps.
If we make you an offer you will need to add us as your Clearing choice in UCAS to accept it.
If you are still waiting for results you will need these before we can make you a formal offer, but you can still contact us to discuss your possible options.
You can apply through Clearing if you:
