Tuition Fees 2026/27

Health Sciences University relies on student fees to meet its financial commitments. It is essential that you pay your fees promptly and in accordance with published details. The University reviews its fees and fees policy annually.

Please note: All tuition fees may be subject to increases in subsequent years of study. Fees for Home Undergraduate students will be subject at all times to maximum fee caps set by the UK Government.

Tuition Fees 2026/27


Access to HE Course Fees 2026/27

The total tuition fee for the Access to HE Diploma in Healthcare Professions for 2026/27 is £1,500. which will become payable from October 2027. At this point you can choose to pay in full or in three equal instalments of £500. 
 
If you successfully progress and enrol onto an undergraduate degree at Health Sciences University prior to October 2027 the tuition fee for the Access to HE Diploma course will be waived and no repayment will be required.  
 
Please note that completion of the Access to HE Diploma does not guarantee acceptance onto a HSU undergraduate degree, and any offer of a place will be dependent on meeting entry criteria and on course availability and demand. HSU does however guarantee to consider applications from Access to HE Diploma students. 
 
If you do not complete the Access to HE Diploma or you do not progress on to a HSU undergraduate degree starting in September 2027 you may remain liable for the fees for this course.

*A Vice-Chancellor’s Bursary of £2,500 is available for international students, reducing the payable fee to £12,500. The Bursary for students from Nepal is £2000, reducing the payable fee to £13,000. The bursary will be applied automatically to tuition fees for eligible students.

Discounts 2026/27

Discounts for Full-time courses (Undergraduate and Postgraduate)

Home self-funding students: A £300 discount is available for full time courses where the course fee is paid in full (excepting discount) within two weeks of registration.

International students: A £350 discount is available for full time courses where the course fee is paid in full (excepting discount) within two weeks of registration.

Discounts for Part-time courses (Undergraduate only)

Home self-funding students: A £200 discount is available for part time undergraduate courses where the course fee is paid in full (excepting discount) within two weeks of registration.

International students: A £350 discount is available for part time undergraduate courses where the course fee is paid in full (excepting discount) within two weeks of registration.

Payment terms


Payment for can be made in one lump sum at the start of the course (Information on discounts for courses paid in full), or in three instalments by the deadlines in the table below.

Please note these payment terms do not apply to MSc Global Healthcare Management students. For specific payment information for this course please read our Deposit Payment and Refund Policy for Students Admitted in Association with Oxford International Education Group available on our Student Money Matters page.

For international students:

  • New Students – If you have paid a deposit in advance, this should be deducted from your 1st instalment.
  • Students are responsible for paying any bank charges (normally £11/12) incurred in making payments from a non-UK bank.
  • The current exchange rate should NOT affect the payment deadline.

Payment of fees via the Student Loan Company


Student Finance provides financial support on behalf of the UK Government to eligible students entering higher education in the UK. This financial support may be in the form of repayable loans or grants and bursaries and is administered by the Student Loans Company (SLC). Students may apply for Student Finance to help with tuition fees and/or living costs and your eligibility will be assessed against specific criteria. If you are applying for Student Finance to cover the cost of your tuition fees:

  • Please remember you will need to apply for student finance each year of your course.
  • It is your responsibility to complete the application for Student Finance and to ensure all requested information is provided.
  • Please make sure you record your SSN (provided by SLC) and choose ‘SLC’ as your ‘Major source of tuition fee’ at your registration/enrolment with us.
  • For Undergraduate students, your Tuition Fee loan will be paid directly to HSU by SLC and the payment plan deadlines above will not apply.
  • For Postgraduate students in direct receipt of funding from SLC, please ensure you transfer the payment to HSU once you have received this. If you fail to do so, sanctions (see Late Payment) may be imposed.

Please note: For SLC funding purposes, the following pre-registration courses are considered as undergraduate courses for English students, therefore, please make sure that you apply for the right course.

Please note that deposit and tuition fee payment for MSc Global Healthcare Management students should be made direct to Oxford International Education Group. Please refer to the  Deposit Payment and Refund Policy for Students Admitted in Association with Oxford International Education Group available on our Student Money Matters page for more information.

For all other courses, if you are paying your fees direct to HSU (rather than via the Student Loans Company) you can make payment:

  • By phone – Call our Finance Office on 01202 436341 . Please have your student ID number and debit/credit card details ready.
  • In person – By credit/debit card at the Student Finance Office – located in The Student Hub, Bournemouth Campus. Please note that our Student Hub office opening hours are 10am – 1pm Tuesday- Thursday. We cannot accept payment by cheque, cash or American Express cards.
  • By Bank transfer – Please quote your student ID number as payment reference.

Invoice/Receipt

  • We do NOT normally send out invoices unless your fees are being paid by your sponsor.
  • We will e-mail to acknowledge the receipt of payment within 3-5 working days.
  • Should you require an invoice or any other Financial documents, please e-mail studentfinance@aecc.ac.uk

Sponsorship Authorisation Form

If your fees are being paid by your employer or other third party apart from parents/ carers or other close relatives, both you and your sponsor need to complete a Sponsorship Authorisation Form for each year of study.

Please send the completed and signed form to studentfinance@aecc.ac.uk prior to registration. If you fail to do so, you will be considered as a self-funded student and therefore the sanctions mentioned above may apply if you are late in paying.

Late Payment

For self-funded students, if we do not hear from you by the deadline above, sanctions may be imposed which include:

  • suspension of your library borrowing rights
  • suspension of your student IT rights
  • suspension of your door access
  • disablement of your student ID card and any controlled access privileges

Financial Difficulties

If you are experiencing any financial difficulties which would cause you to be late in payments, please e-mail studentfinance@aecc.ac.uk prior to the deadlines to avoid sanctions to be imposed. We can then look into ways that we may be able to help you.

We are mindful that finances can be a source of concern for our students and may be able to offer financial support, advice and assistance including hardship funds to eligible students who are experiencing financial difficulties. If you are worried about your financial situation or would like some support with planning and managing a budget, please reach out to our Student Services team at studentservices@aecc.ac.uk.
