Programme Leader, Practical Skills Teacher

As Programme Leader for Practical Skills, Kasia provides academic leadership in the design, delivery, and quality assurance of the practical acupuncture curriculum. She is responsible for developing and reviewing teaching materials, practical handbooks, and assessment strategies to ensure they reflect professional standards and current best practice. She oversees the teaching of core practical skills, including needling techniques, moxibustion, cupping, guasha and pulse and tongue diagnosis, while maintaining a strong emphasis on patient safety, clinical competence, and professional conduct.

Biography

Kasia Orzechowska graduated from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine (CICM) in 2016 and has been running a patient-centred acupuncture practice in St Albans ever since.

Alongside her clinical practice, Kasia has been teaching at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine since 2020, where she delivers practical skills, point location and anatomy teaching to undergraduate acupuncture students. In 2022, she was appointed Programme Leader for Practical Skills. She is passionate about education and is committed to helping future practitioners develop not only strong technical skills but also confidence, critical thinking, and a genuinely patient-centred approach to acupuncture.
