Jonathan Spadaccini

Jonathan is an osteopath, the unit leader for the Functioning Human unit, a lecturer on the Being an Osteopath (BaO) unit and a Practice Educator at the UCO School of Osteopathy at HSU.

Biography

Jonathan graduated with distinction from the British School of Osteopathy (BSO – now UCO School of osteopathy at HSU) in 2014 and has worked as an associate and principal osteopath in a number of practices across London and on the Isle of Wight. Prior to becoming an osteopath, Jonathan worked for nearly 20 years in the NHS as a occupational therapist, specialising in in hand therapy and upper limb rehab in a number of major plastics and reconstructive surgery departments in and across London. Jonathan joined the faculty in 2017 as a lecturer and practice educator and is now the unit lead for the Functioning Human unit across all levels. In 2023, Jonathan helped establish the first MSK clinic for transgender and non-binary adults (T-Flex) in the UCO School of Osteopathy teaching clinic.

In addition to being the Unit Lead for the Functioning Human unit, lecturing and supporting students in the teaching clinic, Jonathan works as an osteopath in a number of clinics across SE London and is currently working towards his Professional Doctorate in Health with the University of Bath.
