Biography
Arnold holds a PhD from Malaysia, a Bachelor’s in Pharmacy, a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, and a Master’s in Public Health from Pakistan, as well as an MSc in International Business from Canterbury Christ Church University, UK. His academic background reflects a strong interdisciplinary focus, combining health sciences, public health, and management.
Professionally, he has extensive experience in teaching, research, project management, and the charity sector, particularly in areas related to healthcare, wellbeing, and environmental sciences. He has contributed to several publications in public health and environmental research.
Dr. Arnold Rafiq began his teaching career with a strong commitment to supporting student learning and applying practical, evidence-based knowledge in the classroom. He joined Health Sciences University (HSU) as a Lecturer to bring his diverse academic and professional expertise into teaching, contribute to curriculum development, and enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

Academic and professional experience span teaching, research, and project management within health sciences and public health. This also includes teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels of study as well as curriculum development, student mentoring, and quality assurance activities. Arnold has also contributed to research projects in public health and environmental monitoring, with publication outcomes also recorded. Additionally, Arnold has experience working within the charity sector, focusing on health and wellbeing initiatives.
