Biography
Anas holds M.Sc. in Medical Physics and B.Sc. (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography. He previously served as a Lead Diagnostic Radiographer at the State Specialist Hospital Gombe State Nigeria and as the Radiation Safety Officer for Gombe State Government. He has played active roles in professional bodies, serving as chair of the Association of Radiographers of Nigeria (ARN) Gombe branch (2019-2022) and holding national position including Acting National Secretary. He also chaired the local organising committee for the ARN 2020 National Conference held in Gombe State Nigeria.
Experience, Areas of interest/expertise
Anas research interest lies primarily in the field of radiation protection and safety within medical imaging. He is passionate about exploring and enhancing safety protocols to protect both patients and healthcare personnel from unnecessary radiation exposure. His work spans across key areas including radiobiology, quality control and quality assurance in diagnostic radiography as well as personnel dosimetry and modern radiation monitoring techniques. Anas is also interested in integration of emerging technologies particularly the application of artificial intelligence to improve radiation protection practice. His research aims to contribute to safer more efficient diagnostic imaging system through evidence-based innovation.
