Health Sciences University sponsors first MSK Awards 2026
Health Sciences University (HSU) is proud to sponsor the inaugural MSK Awards 2026, celebrating excellence, innovation and impact across musculoskeletal (MSK) healthcare, with the University also sponsoring the Innovation in MSK Practice Award and one of our Professors joining the expert judging panel.
Co-hosted by Physio Matters and Physio First, the MSK Awards have been established to recognise individuals, teams and organisations making an outstanding contribution to MSK care. The awards ceremony will take place at the Sky Gallery, Park Regis, Birmingham, on Friday 27 November 2026.
HSU is also sponsoring the Innovation in MSK Practice Award, recognising innovative approaches that improve patient outcomes, enhance service delivery and help shape the future of MSK practice. The award is one of eight categories celebrating excellence across the MSK community.
Professor Steven Vogel, Professor of Musculoskeletal Health and Care at HSU, will bring his extensive expertise in musculoskeletal health, research and practice to the awards as part of the judging panel.

HSU’s involvement reflects the University’s longstanding expertise across MSK education, research and clinical practice, and its commitment to working collaboratively with the wider MSK community.
This commitment is further reflected through HSU’s Institute of Musculoskeletal Health and Innovation (IMHI), which brings together multi-professional MSK expertise and connects clinicians, researchers, educators and leaders to support collaboration across clinical practice, research and innovation. Through its networks and communities of practice, the Institute supports the sharing of knowledge and translation of evidence into meaningful improvements in MSK healthcare.
HSU will also be represented at the awards ceremony by colleagues including Vice-Chancellor Professor Lesley Haig and Dr Neil Langridge, Director of the Institute of Musculoskeletal Health and Innovation, joining members of the MSK community to celebrate the achievements of this year’s finalists and winners.
Nominations for the MSK Awards are now open until 8pm on Wednesday 30 September 2026, providing an opportunity to recognise clinicians, teams, services and organisations making an outstanding contribution across MSK healthcare. Self-nominations are also encouraged, with both NHS and independent services eligible.
Finalists will be selected ahead of the awards ceremony, where the winners across the eight award categories will be announced.
