Health Sciences University celebrates rising to 8th place in the Guardian University Guide subject rankings

Health Sciences University (HSU) is celebrating an impressive set of results in the latest Guardian University Guide rankings, reinforcing its growing reputation for delivering a highly personalised, career-focused student experience. 

In just two short years, HSU has risen rapidly from 37th to 8th in the Health Professions subject rankings, an achievement that reflects the strength of its specialist, practice-led approach and recognised excellence in health sciences education as it continues to expand its provision.  

This is a significant achievement that reflects the University’s growing strength in delivering outstanding student outcomes and educational experience. Importantly, the Guardian rankings focus on measures that matter most to students, including graduate career prospects, learning gain, continuation and the quality of the academic experience. 

HSU’s strong performance was driven by outstanding results across several key indicators. The University achieved a 99% score for career prospects, demonstrating the success of its practice-based learning approach in preparing students for employment and further study. HSU also scored 9 out of 10 for value added, a measure of how effectively a university helps students achieve outcomes beyond those predicted by their entry qualifications, highlighting the transformative impact of the student experience. Combined with a student-to-staff ratio of 13:1, these results reinforce HSU’s commitment to personalised learning, individual support and career-ready graduates.
