The Dorset Innovation Hub (DIH) is entering a new chapter following agreement from partners on future hosting arrangements. The strategic partnership brings together Dorset’s NHS organisations across health and care, local government, academia, business, and the voluntary and community sector to drive innovation that improves outcomes for people across Dorset.

Following the formation of the Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW), Dorset and Somerset Integrated Care Board, partners reviewed the Hub’s future hosting arrangements. A joint expression of interest from Dorset County Hospital, Dorset HealthCare and Health Sciences University (HSU) was unanimously agreed.

The new arrangement reflects the collaborative ethos of the DIH and its shared ambition to improve population health, support prevention, reduce inequalities and help people live better in Dorset.

Professor Lesley Haig, Vice-Chancellor, said: “We are delighted to be co-hosting the Hub alongside Dorset County Hospital and Dorset HealthCare as it enters this exciting new phase.” She added that the partnership provides an opportunity to build on the Hub’s strong foundations and create a platform for innovation, research and knowledge exchange.
