What I do/did at HSU…
I studied BSc Exercise Science (health and rehabilitation) from 2012 -2015 through Bournemouth University and the AECC/HSU.
Where (else) I studied/qualified…
I’ve completed further study through the Association for Respiratory Technology and Physiology before moving to prehospital care where I am finishing a BSc Apprenticeship in Paramedic Science.
“…the greatest thing it has taught me is self-confidence”
What I do in addition to teaching…
After leaving the HSU I worked at a hospital in Bristol as a Respiratory Physiologist for 4 years. During COVID I was redeployed to ICU assisting management of COVID and non-COVID patients’ care. After the first lockdown I transitioned into prehospital care with South Western Ambulance Service.
What has helped me most…
What helped me most at HSU was the foundation of A+P which has put me in good positions throughout my career since, but the greatest thing it has taught me is self-confidence and to always push myself further.
