Trinti Dancy

Inspired by personal experiences navigating healthcare after a family scoliosis diagnosis, Triniti chose to pursue chiropractic to help others access compassionate, life-changing care. Drawn to the HSU AECC School of Chiropractic for its strong reputation and evidence-based approach, she embraced a wide range of student roles that shaped her leadership and professional development. Since graduating, Triniti has co-founded a multidisciplinary clinic, supporting hundreds of patients while championing excellence in chiropractic practice.

What was your inspiration to become a chiropractor?

After a close family member was diagnosed with scoliosis, they experienced complications from treatment – we encountered many barriers and disparities to life-changing care, while navigating the healthcare system. This was the driving force for my Mum to return to education, and I made the decision to follow in her footsteps.

Why did you choose to study at the AECC School of Chiropractic?

Growing up in Dorset, I was already familiar with the area and had the opportunity to meet current students with my Mum studying the Master In Chiropractic MChiro course at the University (which I know is a unique circumstance). Beyond this, the University had an international reputation and history, it’s pursuit of evidence-based care was paramount to me, and I personally loved the opportunities that came with being part of a smaller, more specialised University.

Outline the different roles you had while studying and how they supported your development.

While studying at University, I took on many different roles (it became a joke) and even developed, pitched, and established new roles.

Throughout my degree, I worked as a Student Ambassador, Specialist Student Ambassador, Senior Specialist Student Ambassador (the one I created), Library Assistant, Registry Assistant, and Clinic Assistant. I was also the Mental Health & Wellbeing Champion for 2 years, which led me to getting my own diagnosis of ADHD at 22.

These roles opened so many new opportunities and gave me a huge number of the skills I need in the day-to-day of my business. I genuinely believe I wouldn’t be where I am, had I not taken these opportunities.

What would you say to school/college-leavers thinking about studying at the AECC School of Chiropractic?

Studying at the AECC School of Chiropractic is a unique experience, that will challenge you in many ways (a good thing). If you care about people and have a passion for health, this degree truly puts you in the position to make a difference.

You really can get out what you put in!

What career opportunities has the degree provided for you following your graduation?
Following my degree, I opened my own clinic with my Mum – we now have a team of both Physiotherapists and Chiropractors. I have worked with the GCC to discuss excellence in professional practice and have supported 100s of people to get back to living life with confidence.
