Biography
Sophie spent 20 years as a speech and language therapist, working primarily with adults with neurological conditions and head and neck cancer. In 2007, she began teaching on the PGDip Speech and Language Therapy programme run jointly by the University of Greenwich and Canterbury Christ Church University, and in 2020 she joined the SLT team at City, University of London, where she led the MSc SLT programme.
Current Activity
Sophie has a particular interest in holistic and person-centred care; her PhD explored how people with aphasia express their spirituality. She has taught on aphasia, motor speech disorders, dysphagia, head and neck cancer and qualitative research methodologies.
