Biography

Chris Wilkes, Unit Leader M.Ost FT & PT, Lecturer in Osteopathy & Clinic Tutor.

Chris began his working life as a professional rugby player having stints at both Worcester and Gloucester Rugby Clubs.

Following this experience and keen to continue in an active lifestyle, he pursued a career in Personal Training and Sport Massage Therapy.

With a desire to learn more about human function, Chris then went on to study at the University College Osteopathy where he graduated with distinction in 2009. He has since completed postgraduate studies with the Gray Institute in the USA, to become a Fellow of Applied Functional Science and NG360 Nike Golf Performance Specialist.

Since graduation, Chris has worked in a wide variety of clinical settings including four years at Pure Sports Medicine working as Team Leader at their Raynes Park Clinic, and working on-site at professional sporting competitions on the Ladies European Golf Tour, British National Mountain Bike Series and Premier English Hockey League.

In 2012 Chris founded Thirst 4 Function, an innovative education company which delivers continued professional development (CPD) courses in the UK and internationally to postgraduate osteopaths, physiotherapists and other health professionals.

Current Activity

He currently practices in rural Worcestershire where he lives with his wife and 4 year-old daughter.
