Course Details
“From Core to Floor” — a joint-by-joint masterclass in treating back and lower extremity injuries. This 12-hour seminar is designed to upgrade your clinical toolkit with effective mobility protocols, progressive strength work, and sport-specific strategies that bring your patients back stronger than before. The aim of this seminar is to provide clinicians and performance professionals with a practical, evidence informed framework for assessing, rehabilitating, and optimizing function of the spine and lower body. The course integrates principles from sports chiropractic, functional rehabilitation, and performance training to enhance outcomes for both injured and high-performing individuals.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate an integrated understanding of spinal and lower extremity biomechanics in the context of injury, rehabilitation, and athletic performance.
- Apply systematic assessment strategies to identify functional limitations and compensations in the core, hips, and lower limbs.
- Construct individualized rehabilitation and performance plans using floor-based and upright progressions, emphasizing core integration and neuromuscular control.
- Differentiate between rehab and performance goals across stages of care and adapt interventions accordingly.
- Utilize clinical reasoning to modify movement strategies for diverse populations including athletes, active adults, and post-injury clients.
Learning Objectives; Participants will be able to:
- Identify key anatomical and biomechanical relationships between the spine, pelvis, and lower extremities.
- Perform and interpret foundational movement screens for lumbar-pelvic-hip function.
- Apply principles of motor control and core stabilization to early-stage rehab and performance enhancement.
- Design floor-based progressions (e.g., supine, quadruped, tall kneeling) that reinforce core-lower body integration.
- Prescribe advanced upright and loaded patterns to bridge the gap between rehab and return-to-play.
- Integrate breathing, bracing, and coordination strategies into mobility and strength work.
- Select appropriate regressions and progressions for patients/clients based on real-time performance and feedback.
- Utilize case-based reasoning to solve common rehab-to-performance challenges in the clinic or training environment.
