Biography
Ufuoma strengthens the institution’s commitment to integrating sustainable management practices within the Global Healthcare Management program while contributing to core management education through her expertise in project management, strategic decision-making, and organisational behaviour.
Ufuoma recently completed her PhD in Sustainability from the University of Suffolk. She holds an MSc in Environmental Management from Coventry University and a BA in Development Studies from the University of the Gambia. Her teaching portfolio includes delivering sustainability and management modules, and global sustainable development modules to MBA and MSc cohorts. Ufuoma combines sustainable and practical management experience with academic rigour.
Experience, Areas of interest/expertise
Ufuoma brings extensive experience spanning both academic research and industry practice. Her academic experience includes roles as Research Associate at the Suffolk Sustainability Institute, and Research Administrator managing NHS-funded programmes. She has contributed to diverse research projects including postmenopausal careers studies, domestic abuse programme evaluations, and renewable energy transition initiatives. In the private sector, she served as Sustainability Manager where she conducted environmental research for alternative housing projects and developed ESG and CSR policies that achieved organisation-wide adoption.

Ufuoma holds professional accreditations including Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA), practitioner membership with the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (ISEP – PIEMA), and an Environment Practitioner with the Society for Environment (REnvP)
Research Interests 
Ufuoma’s research interests focus on the intersection of environmental sustainability, social justice, and international development. Her primary areas include sustainability consciousness and environmental behaviour, environmental governance and policy implementation, and cross-cultural approaches to sustainable development. She is particularly interested in qualitative research methodologies, stakeholder engagement, and community-based participatory research.
