Biography
Joining Health Sciences University as Associate Lecturer focusing on the delivery of Health Economics related units. I have previously taught Economics at the Swansea University and the University of Aberdeen. I obtained my PhD in Health Economics from the University of Aberdeen and I studied my MA in International Economics in at Kyung Hee University, South Korea.
Prior joining the higher educational institutes in the UK, I worked as Research Fellow in Egypt’s Statistical & Research Unit for eight years. I also worked as Graduate Teaching Assistant at Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences, Cairo University.
My work covers topics in public health, health economics, and macroeconomics modelling. Majority of my research explore issues in childhood health in the context of developing countries. My current recent research studies the contribution of conditional cash transfer to stunting reduction in Indonesia. Some of my work seeks to implement filed experiments in the area of mental health.

I have 5 years of teaching experience in higher educational institutions in the UK. I have garnered experience in the subjects areas such as applied microeconomics, macroeconomics, business finance, public management, health economics and statistics.
I have over ten years’ experience of research. My research area of interest is: health economics, international economics, and macroeconomics modelling.
