London Graduation

We are delighted to announce the date for our 2025 London graduation ceremony: Wednesday, 22 October 2025 at the Bridge Theatre, 3 Potters Fields Park, London SE1 2SG.

Bookings are now open! You can now book your Graduation tickets, gown hire, and official photography online. Please visit the website here.

Simply select ‘Graduation Event’ then ‘Book your gown hire’. You can also book through the call centre on 0370 240 1852.

Deadline for bookings is 12 noon on 26^th September.

1. When and where is the London Graduation taking place?

The Bridge Theatre offers a stunning modern interior and sits beside Tower Bridge – the perfect backdrop for your celebration photographs. You can visit the Bridge Theatre website here.

Gowning and Photography
Please note, gowning and photography will take place beforehand at HSU’s London campus:

All Graduands must report here first to collect their gown and have the opportunity for official photography before travelling to the Bridge Theatre.

Guests may go directly to the Bridge Theatre for 12pm, unless they wish to join you for photography at the London campus.

2. What’s the plan for the day?

• 9.00am – Registration, gowning & photography open at HSU’s London campus
• 11.15am – Gowning & photography closes; all Graduands and guests must leave for Bridge Theatre
• 11.45am – Graduand briefing at Bridge Theatre
• 12.30pm – Graduands, guests & staff seated in auditorium
• 1.00pm – Ceremony commences
• 2.00pm – Closing addresses
• 2.15pm – Drinks reception
• 4.00pm – Event ends; all gowns to be returned at Bridge Theatre

Important: If you are awaiting final results, please do not make travel or accommodation arrangements until your pass is officially confirmed.

3. How will I get from the London campus to the Bridge Theatre?

Once gowned at HSU London’s campus, Graduands and guests are asked to make their own way to the Bridge Theatre. You may wish to do this by taxi or on foot. The Bridge Theatre is approximately a 25-minute walk from the London campus. A map of the walking route will be available at the London campus on the day.

4. Tickets

• 🎓 Graduand tickets: Free
• 👤 Adult guest tickets: £25 (includes ceremony + one complimentary drink)
• 👧 Child guest tickets (ages 2–16): £10 (includes ceremony + one complimentary drink)
• 👶 Infant guests (ages 0–2): Free (must sit on an adult’s lap; no ticket required)

Each Graduand is entitled to two guest tickets in the first instance. If you wish to request additional guest tickets, you can do so through this link. We will confirm availability by Friday 3 October 2025. (Please note these are not guaranteed and you are therefore advised not to make non-refundable travel arrangements until you have received confirmation.)

Tickets will be available to collect on the day at the registration desk – please keep your ticket with you as you may be asked to show it.

5. Gown hire & dress code

• All Graduands must wear full academic dress (gown, hood, mortarboard).
• Gown hire cost: £39 (all awards) and you can book your gown on the website here.
• Gowns can be collected at the London campus and need to be returned at Bridge Theatre by 4pm.
• Smart clothing is recommended beneath gowns (buttoned shirt/blouse helps secure the gown).
• Guest attire: smart-casual suggested.

6. Photography

• Official photography will take place at the London campus in the morning.
• Individual, group and guest photos will be available and are bookable in advance on the website here or on the day.
• Informal event photography will also take place throughout the day. If you or your guests prefer not to be photographed, please inform the photographer.
• Guests arriving for photos should join you at the London campus no later than 10.30am.

7. Accessibility

Bridge Theatre is an accessible venue, but spaces for wheelchairs are limited. If you or your guests have accessibility requirements, please contact: graduation.london@hsu.ac.uk as soon as possible.
