Course Details
The Jensen Method is a comprehensive approach to musculoskeletal rehabilitation and treatment developed by Dr. Marius A. Jensen. Drawing from over a decade of experience as a chiropractor, combined with a background in high-level athletics, the method emphasises the importance of integrating early-stage supervised rehabilitation with chiropractic techniques. This approach aims to address the underlying dysfunctions in the body’s kinetic chain, offering a structured and evidence-based treatment plan that enhances recovery outcomes.

Module 2: Function and Rehabilitation
Build Stability. Reduce Risk. Strengthen with Precision.
Module 2 is the heart of the Jensen Method system. This module transitions participants from diagnostic assessments into hands-on, early-stage rehabilitation. It is entirely practical in focus and teaches attendees how to safely implement the Jensen Method exercises, including timing, progression, and adaptation to individual patients.
The aim is to move beyond generic rehab and deliver targeted, high-value input that creates real-world results—without the need for complex equipment or unsupervised guesswork. Participants will leave with a reliable rehabilitation toolset they can implement immediately in practice.

● 10:00 – 13:00 | Lower Body Jensen Method Exercises (Practice + Feedback)
● 13:00 – 14:00 | Lunch Break
● 14:00 – 17:00 | Upper Body Jensen Method Exercises (Practice + Feedback)
Sunday (09:00–13:00)
● 09:00 – 11:00 | Global Integration Exercises & Proprioceptive Conditioning

Detailed Exercise Instruction
Each of the exercises is reviewed in-depth in this module. Practitioners will perform them, coach one another, and troubleshoot form, fatigue, and compensatory patterns.
Lower Body Jensen Method Exercises
1. Glute Activation Squats
○ Goal: Posterior chain recruitment without quadriceps dominance
○ Practice Focus: Knee-out pressure, lumbar spine neutral
○ Outcome: Early glute rehab loading with minimal spinal stress
1. Adapted Gluteus Bridge
○ Goal: Strengthen glutes while monitoring abdominal engagement
○ Practice Focus: Outward knee pressure, flat lumbar spine
○ Outcome: Safe initiation of posterior chain rehab
1. 1-Leg Seated Squat with Proprioception
○ Goal: Test and improve unilateral leg strength and balance
○ Practice Focus: Control, bench height modification, add foam mat
○ Outcome: Targeted stability work under real-world conditions
1. Adapted Leg Raises
○ Goal: Assess abdominal vs hip flexor dominance
○ Practice Focus: Maintaining lumbar pressure on hands
○ Outcome: Build proper core engagement through load control
1. 1-Leg Distracted Balance
○ Goal: Late-stage neural fatigue proprioceptive assessment
○ Practice Focus: Reaction distraction via throwing ball
○ Outcome: Replicates end-of-day or sport-like balance demands
Upper Body Jensen Method Exercises
1. Teres Pull with Band
○ Goal: Activate scapular retraction and upper body postural control
○ Practice Focus: Maintain posterior chain tension while overhead
○ Outcome: Improved scapular stability and thoracic positioning
1. Push-Up Plus
○ Goal: Serratus anterior endurance and scapular rhythm
○ Practice Focus: Full protraction/retraction with straight arms
○ Outcome: Strengthens postural endurance and overhead stability
1. Adapted Intro Pull-Ups
○ Goal: Train pull-up phases safely with focus on scapular mechanics
○ Practice Focus: Band support, sternum-to-bar, chin retracted
○ Outcome: Upper body strength development with core control
1. Dynamic Plank Series
○ Goal: Core endurance across multiple planes
○ Practice Focus: Hold times, transitions, scapular awareness
○ Outcome: Builds deep stability needed for functional rehab
Global Integration & Proprioception
These exercises tie together the kinetic chain. Introduced Sunday morning, they blend upper and lower elements, focus on fatigue resilience, and simulate real-world challenges (e.g., rapid changes in direction, balance + strength demands).
Clinical Implementation Session Sunday’s final session focuses on:
● Exercise selection by condition
● How many exercises to prescribe
● Session frequency and progression
● Adapting the program to high-risk or fragile patients
● Delegating to assistants or trainers
● Coaching points for home vs in-clinic execution
Included Materials
● Branded Jensen Method resistance bands (3 levels)
● Exercise summary handout
● Online access to videos and breakdowns
● Clinical tracking sheet template
Learning Outcomes for Module 2
● Confidently perform and teach the full suite of Jensen Method rehab exercises
● Recognise poor form, fatigue patterns, and compensation during execution
● Know how to structure a safe but progressive rehab plan
● Implement rehab into clinical workflow with efficiency
● Guide patients through the early rehabilitation phase with precision and clarity

Dr. Marius Jensen, D.C., C.C.E.P.
Doctor Marius A. Jensen, DC, Mchiro (hons), CCEP, grew up in Oslo, Norway, where he had the opportunity to ski from a young age.
After graduating as a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) from the prestigious Anglo-European College of Chiropractic, Doctor Jensen began practicing in London, where he currently helps a wide variety of patients ranging from professional athletes to kids and the elderly. He has also obtained his C.C.E.P. (Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner) credentials, which has given him much additional knowledge into the diagnosis and treatment of various extremity and sports injuries. We are pleased to have recently welcomed Doctor Jensen as a C.C.E.P. instructor. As an instructor, Doctor Jensen has already taught a handful of our CEA courses, primarily at AECC in Europe.
Dr. Jenses believes in a multidisciplinary approach to holistic treatment.
