We take our role in the local community very seriously and work closely with our local community partners, aligning our activities with local and regional priorities to support our vibrant communities in both Boscombe (Bournemouth) and London. We do our very best to ensure our local communities share the benefits of our reputation, global connections and first-class facilities.
We work hard, hand in hand with our Students’ Union and local partners, to help our students to understand their responsibilities to local residents. But we do recognise that from time to time there will be concerns and subsequent complaints from local residents.
The first point of contact for residents and other people in the local community is to email: community.support@aecc.ac.uk
We’ll get back to you as soon as we can but please bear in mind that it can often take a few days to speak to all relevant departments at the University.
For parking issues and excessive noise, we encourage you to contact the University in the first instance to try and resolve the matter quickly. However the following services can also be contacted:
Parking Issues
Bournemouth Campus:
If someone has parked in contravention of the parking restrictions, such as parking on a double or single yellow line, or for longer than permitted in a limited waiting area, you can report it to BCP Council.
If there are no parking restrictions and the vehicle is causing an obstruction on the highway, you can report it to Dorset Police.
Excessive Noise
Bournemouth Campus: BCP Council
London Campus: Southwark Council
We remain committed to being a responsible neighbour and a positive presence in our local communities. Your feedback helps us maintain strong relationships and continuously improve the way we work alongside our residents. Whether it’s a concern or a suggestion, we genuinely value your input and encourage open, respectful communication. Together, we can continue to build a safe and supportive environment for everyone.
