Bournemouth Graduation

We’re delighted to share important details about HSU’s Bournemouth Graduation Ceremony this November — and to let you know that bookings are now open!

You can now book your Graduation tickets, gown hire and official photography online via William Northam at www.williamnortham.com.

Simply select ‘Graduation Event’ and search for ‘Health Sciences University’ to begin your booking. You’ll need your Student ID number, surname and email address to log in.

Alternatively, bookings can also be made via the William Northam call centre on 0370 240 1852.

Deadline for all bookings: 5pm, Friday 24 October 2025.

1. When and where is Graduation taking place?

Morning Graduation Ceremony (HRS)

📍 Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre, Westover Rd, Bournemouth, BH1 2BU
📅 Friday 21 November 2025, 10.30am

 Afternoon Graduation Ceremony (AECC School of Chiropractic)
📍 Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre, Westover Rd, Bournemouth, BH1 2BU
📅 Friday 21 November 2025, 3.00pm

Both ceremonies will be followed by a celebratory reception with refreshments in the Pavilion Ballroom.

Gowning and Photography

Morning Ceremony
📍 Hilton Bournemouth, 4 Terrace Rd, Bournemouth, BH2 5EL
⏰ 8.00am – 9.30am

All Graduands must first report to the Hilton Hotel for registration, gown collection and official photography before walking to the Pavilion Theatre (approx. 10 minutes on foot).

Guests may go directly to the Pavilion Theatre for 10.00am, unless joining you for photos at the Hilton.

Afternoon Ceremony
📍 Hilton Bournemouth, 4 Terrace Rd, Bournemouth, BH2 5EL
⏰ 12.30pm – 2.00pm

All Graduands must first report to the Hilton Hotel for registration, gown collection and official photography before walking to the Pavilion Theatre (approx. 10 minutes on foot).

Guests may go directly to the Pavilion Theatre for 2.30pm, unless joining you for photos at the Hilton.

Morning Ceremony (for the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences)

2. What’s the plan for the day?

• 8.00am – 9.30am: Registration, gowning & photography at Hilton Bournemouth
• 10.00am: Guests seated at Pavilion Theatre
• 10.30am: Ceremony commences
• 11.45am: Ceremony concludes; Reception with refreshments begins
• 1.15pm: Reception ends

Important: If you are awaiting your final results, please do not make travel or accommodation arrangements until your award is officially confirmed.

Afternoon Ceremony (for the AECC School of Chiropractic)

What’s the plan for the day?

• 12.30pm – 2.00pm: Registration, gowning & photography at Hilton Bournemouth
• 2.30pm: Guests seated at Pavilion Theatre
• 3.00pm: Ceremony commences
• 4.15pm: Ceremony concludes; Reception with refreshments begins
• 5.30pm: Reception ends

Important: If you are awaiting your final results, please do not make travel or accommodation arrangements until your award is officially confirmed.

3. Tickets

• 🎓 Graduand tickets: Free (no need to purchase)
• 👤 Guest tickets: £20 (includes access to ceremony and post-ceremony reception)

Each Graduand may purchase up to three guest tickets in the first instance.

If you wish to request additional tickets, please do so when booking through the William Northam booking platform. We will confirm if extra tickets are available by 30^th October 2025.

Tickets will be available to collect on the day from the registration desk. Please keep them with you throughout the event.

4. Gown hire & dress code

• All Graduands must wear full academic dress (gown, hood, mortarboard).
• Gowns can be hired via William Northam.
• Please ensure your gown is returned after the ceremony.
• Dress code: Smart or smart-casual attire is recommended (a buttoned shirt/blouse helps secure the gown).

5. Photography

• Official photography will take place at the Hilton Bournemouth before the ceremony.
• Individual, group and guest photos can be pre-booked on the William Northam website or taken on the day.
• Informal photography will also take place during the event; if you or your guests prefer not to be photographed, please inform the photographer.

6. Accessibility

Both Hilton Bournemouth and Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre are accessible venues.
If you or your guests have specific requirements, please contact BournemouthGraduation@hsu.ac.uk as soon as possible so we can assist.
