Selina Senguder

Lecturer in Podiatry

Selina is a part time lecturer for the Podiatry course at Health Sciences University with a background in both clinical practice and academic research. She is involved in student education, clinical supervision and research on the course.

Biography

Selina was awarded her bachelor’s degree in podiatry from the University of Southampton in 2024. She then went on to work clinically within Hampshire and Isle of Wight NHS trust while pursing a master’s degree in clinical and health research alongside work. She was appointed to her lecturer role at Health Sciences University Bournemouth in December 2025.

Experience, Areas of interest/expertise:

Selina’s background includes working as a NHS podiatrist, and research into the podiatry workforce and student education, as well as pain management in areas of deprivation.

BSc (Hons) Podiatry, awarded June 2024

MRes Clinical and Health Research, awarded November 2025

Selina’s current research interests include the podiatry workforce and student education, chronic pain, and biopsychosocial components behind pain and rehabilitation
