Dr Yang Wang

Dr Yang Wang is an Associate Lecturer who contributes to delivering high-quality education and enhancing the student experience across business management-related modules relevant to healthcare disciplines. Their work focuses on supporting student engagement and promoting positive learning outcomes.

Biography

Dr Yang Wang has studied and lived in both the UK and China. He earned his PhD in Leadership and Management from Cranfield University, where he conducted qualitative research on organisational rituals in Chinese companies. He also holds an MSc in International Business from the University of Sheffield and a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Training Science from Jiangxi Normal University. Dr Wang joined HSU to contribute his international teaching and research experience to a dynamic academic environment.

Experience, Areas of interest/expertise

Dr Wang has designed and delivered courses in English at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, covering topics such as cross-border supply chain management, online consumer behaviour, and social media marketing. His professional background includes strategic planning within public sector organisations and coordination of major national and international sports events.

Research

My research interests focus on the role of organisational rituals in shaping leadership and corporate culture. I use ethnographic methods and qualitative interviews to explore these themes, particularly in the context of Chinese enterprises. I also participate in interdisciplinary research projects and contribute to academic conferences.
