Course Details
This exciting CPD is designed for all Registered health care professionals with interest in the evolving field of medical imaging , exploring the use of technology to diagnose pathologies and improve health outcomes. This pack will feature educative and engaging contents on basic axial anatomy, overview of imaging modalities, AI use in radiography, as well as an interactive practical and Q/A sessions. Participants will learn from each other’s experiences and different viewpoints will be evaluated, facilitated by specialist who will be able to offer valuable insights and perspectives
- To educate participants on the anatomical systems of the human body for imaging and how this appears on 2D and 3D radiographically.
- To provide a concise but comprehensive summary of all medical imaging modalities for diagnosis (x-rays, ultrasound, MRI, CT, nuclear medicine, mammography, fluoroscopy, theatre), and its use in clinical settings, including images of case scenarios.
- To examine the application of AI in radiography and how this will reshape radiology practice in the future.

Victor Chigbundu Nwaiwu is a Senior Lecturer and Course Lead in Diagnostic Radiography at Health Sciences University, with extensive academic and clinical experience across Africa, Asia, and Europe. He is HCPC-registered Radiographer, active researcher, author, editor and educator, currently working towards Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. Read more here
